The US Open is widely regarded as one of the most
exciting tennis tournaments. The field of over 600 players, always
includes the top tennis players in the World. The tournament is
played in the shadow of the heart of New York City, Manhattan, so
celebrities are a regular sight. US Open Tennis matches are full of
action and drama, often lasting late in to the New York evening. But
the electric atmosphere of the crowds at the US Open keep you tuned
in whether it's morning, noon or midnight.
The fourth and final tennis tournament in the Grand Slam. Typically
held over the course of two weeks, at the end of August and early
September 2007 Tennis US Open run's from August 27 through September
9. Featuring a hard court of asphalt or concrete finished with latex
paint, the U.S. Open takes pride in the
high speed tennis and fast bouncing balls its courts provide.
Players compete in Men's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Singles,
Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. CBS, USA Network, and many
international broadcasters will carry the action live as last year's
winners Roger Federer and Svetlana Kuznetsova return to defend their
crowns.
Roger Federer confidently wins US Open tennis championship of 2007, but Novak Djokovic was a very worthy opponent.
Roger Federer vs Novak Djokovic game at US Open Tennis 2007 was 7-6, 7-6, 6-4. Therefore, the game just finished and the winner becomes the champion four times of US Open Tennis Championship. Novak is just 20 years old from Serbia and has won the hears of 24000 people in the court and on TV.
The game was very much fun experience to watch. Both players Federer and Djokovic worked extremely hard, and Djokovic had few great chances to get ahead and win, but Roger Federer was truly the player and very worthy to win US Open.
Justine Henin is the US Open 2007
Belgian Justine Henin claimed her seventh Grand Slam title with a 6-1 6-3 victory over former champion Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia at the US Open.
Top-seeded Henin opened the match with a break, and added two more to take the first set. Fourth-seeded Kuznetsova didn’t use her opportunities, and that’s a must if you want to defeat a number one. For example, Kuznetsova wasn’t able to break Henin even in the games in which the Belgian double-faulted two times.
I had expected a closer match even though I knew that Justine Henin plays by far the highest quality of tennis. At this moment, with players such as Sharapova and Jankovic achieving less than they could, Henin's brilliance is evident more than ever. Another fact that shows Henin's dominance is that she won the US Open 2007 without losing a set.

Roger Federer wins U.S. Open
Roger Federer cemented his status as the best tennis player on the planet Sunday by winning his third straight U.S. Open title.
Federer, the world No. 1, defeated ninth-seeded American Andy Roddick 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 in the final in New York to win his ninth Grand Slam event.
Federer also made history by becoming the only man in tennis history to win the U.S. Open and Wimbledon back-to-back three years in a row.
Maria Sharapova wins second Grand Slam title at U.S. Open
The Arthur Ashe Stadium sellout crowd was behind the 19-year-old Russian, who basked in the lights at the U.S. Open. When her 6-4, 6-4 win over No. 2 Justine Henin-Hardenne was complete Saturday night, she gave another scream — this time for joy.

Roger Federer Wins U.S. Open
Federer responded to his few moments of pressure by reeling off seven straight points in the tiebreak that turned around the match, then blew Agassi away in the fourth set to win 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (1), 6-1 Sunday and run his stunning record in finals over the past two years to 23-0.
"This is probably the most special Grand Slam final in my career," Federer said. "To play against Andre in New York, it's a dream."
Belgian Kim Clijsters finally won her first Grand slam title, as she routed Frenchwoman Mary Pierce in Saturday night's U.S. Open final.
Clijsters, who can now finally shed the label of "best player never to win a major," blasted the 12th-seeded Pierce 6-3, 6-1 in just 65 minutes at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The 22-year-old Clijsters had lost in all four of her previous major finals, including the 2003 U.S. Open championship match where she was defeated by countrywoman Justine Henin-Hardenne.

Awesome Federer takes title
Roger Federer produced an outstanding performance to beat Lleyton Hewitt and win his first US Open title.
The world number one was at times unplayable and withstood a Hewitt fightback to win 6-0 7-6 (7-3) 6-0.
Hewitt came into the final on a 16-match winning streak but Federer took control with a stunning first love set.
Hewitt battled superbly in the second but faltered in the tie-break, and Federer powered through the third for his fourth Grand Slam title.
Kuznetsova takes US title
Svetlana Kuznetsova took the US Open title with victory over fellow Russian Elena Dementieva in Saturday's final.
Kuznetsova recovered from losing her first service game with two breaks of her own to take the first set.
And she twice fought back from a break down in the second for a 6-3 7-5 win and her first Grand Slam title.
Kuznetsova becomes the third consecutive Russian Grand Slam winner, following Ana Myskina at the French Open and Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon.

Some facts of the US Open
The US Open has existed for
more than 120 years, but there have been many changes over
that time that have shaped the tournament into the modern Grand Slam
event as we know it today.
The event was first held in August 1881 as the U.S. National Singles
Championship for men,
competing in both singles and doubles. Only clubs that were members
of the United States National
Lawn Tennis Association were permitted to enter. The very first
Men's champion was Richard D. Sears,
who went on to dominate the event for the next six years. The
championships were staged at the
Newport Casino, Newport, Rhode Island.
